The “Sputnik” pendant lamp, designed by Angelo Lelii in 1957, is an emblematic masterpiece of postwar italian design. Inspired by the Space Race and the technological innovations of the era, this lamp pays homage to modernity and bold creativity.
Design: A spectacular composition of 16 star-like arms radiating from a central core, evoking the dynamic and futuristic shapes of the namesake satellite. Each arm ends with a luminous sphere, balancing geometry and fluidity. The elegant proportions and the interplay between lightness and volume make it as much a sculptural piece as a functional light source.
The “Sptunik” pendant lamp is more than a lighting fixture; it’s a bold statement, perfect for enhancing a dining-room, living area, or entryway. Rare and highly sought-after, it illustrates the innovation and artisanal excellence that define Angelo Lelii’s creations and his renowned atelier, Arredoluce.
A timeless masterpiece…
