Angelo Lelii Italy, 1911-1979

In 1943, Angelo Lelii produced his first lamps in his cellar. In 1946, he offered himself an advertising page in Domus and presented his first three inventions. The following year, he created his company Arredoluce in Monza, near Milan, and in the process took part in the Milan Triennale with a floor lamp with three adjustable arms which became known worldwide as the Triennale. Arrredoluce's watchword: a high level of quality, resulting in limited production and therefore a rarity which is now being paid for.
In the 1950s, the company produced many lights, most of them recognizable by their sculptural and dynamic forms. Gio Ponti, Nanda Vigo, Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni, Mario Tedeschi and Ettore Sottsass are among the creators who work for Arredoluce, whose technicians and workers, at the service of permanent innovation, had the mission of helping creators to achieve their wildest dreams. The sense of marketing and communication are also there, with regular exhibitions, participation in the major fairs of the moment and many publications in the magazines that count, such as Domus or Interni. The international market has not been forgotten, since the company signs a distribution contract with Prescolight in the United States. Arredoluce closed its doors in the early 1980s.
