One of Alvar Aalto’s most popular lighting design is the « Beehive » ceiling light. This organic design reveals Aalto’s interest in nature and his wish to use more sensual forms to embrace a human approach. The lamp is composed by a succession of white aluminium shades and perforated strips of brass. The perforation and the golden colour of the brass create a warm and diffuse light.
