Known for his experimentations on laminated and plywoods, Alvar Aalto developed the bent L-Leg for the first time in 1933. It soon became a standard component in Aalto’s furniture design. The designer considered it to be one of his greatest achievments as it solves the problem of attaching the legs directly to the tabletop. By bending the legs to 90°, it was easier to screw them directly to the tabletop and ensure stability. This square-shaped sidetable presents the original blue linoleum.
