The PK 24 lounge chair also known as the “Hammockchair” was designed by Poul Kjærholm in 1965, it is the perfect example of his approach to design, combining past and present with a focus on quality and rigor. Inspired by a lineage of chaise longue, from the Rococo period to the B306 designed by Le Corbusier and Charlotte Perriand, Kjærholm added his research and vision. Made of steel, cane and leather, his materials of choice, every element is independent from the other and finds its place in what Kjærholm called the “neutral-equilibrum principle”.
